The Ramadan is starting May 6^th this year, but what do you know about Ramadan? Have you ever thought about what Muslims are commemorating and celebrating? Let’s find out!

 

Before watching:

1. What do you know about the Ramadan?
2. What is, according to you, the definition of sinful behaviour?

During watching:

3. How many Muslims are there worldwide?
4. Which Muslims have to fast?
5. What sinful behaviour is mentioned in the clip?
6. What happens at the end of the Ramadan?

After watching:

Discuss in the same groups as before:

7. Why do Muslims fast during the Ramadan?
8. Do you think not behaving sinfully helps with the Ramadan? And you think all Muslims keep to this?
9. What do you think of the Ramadan? Are you (if you aren’t already) considering doing this?
