Queen Elizabeth II became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. In 1953, on February 6th, the Queen was crowned at the young age of 27 and she dedicated her life to serving the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth. That is something that ought to be celebrated, isn’t it?
To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives took place throughout the year, culminating in a four day Bank Holiday weekend in the UK, from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th of June.
